Medical researchers have had a longtime interest in curcumin for its positive effects on inflammatory response, neurological health, and cardiovascular health. But the frustrating problem has always been its poor bioavailability. Curcumin isn't soluble in the gastrointestinal tract, making it difficult to absorb, and it's vulnerable to something called glucuronidation, which converts curcumin into what amounts to inactive waste.
